Day 54

Yesterday I bought tickets to take A to see The Nutcracker. He is very excited about it!  I asked him if he knew what a ballet was and he didn't.  He knows the story and is excited to see it. He is also excited to see a full orchestra play! I can't wait! I don't think i've ever actually seen The Nutcracker live myself.

Day 53

Well it's monday and that means back to school for A. He had a great thanksgiving and enjoyed watching the snow.  Saturday it blew around some more snow also. Yesterday we went and saw the new Harry Potter movie, it was awesome!

Day 52

Well the short school week is over and A is super excited for Thanksgiving. He and I made the pumpkin pies last night...lets hope they last until tomorrow!

Looks like someone fell asleep on top their headphones.

Day 51

I had a great parent teacher conference last night! A is doing fantastic of course! They are going to speak with OT and see if there is anything they can do to help in the classroom with his writing (he receives OT for graphomotor skills).

Day 50

This week is only a three day week because of thanksgiving and every day is an early dismissal because of parent teacher conferences, my conference is tonight and I expect to hear great things.  I got his report card last week and it was fantastic, three A's and two B's!

Day 49

TGIF! A got a few new books yesterday at the book fair and entered in a drawing to win another book.  Just piano lessons today and nice lazy weekend.

day 48

I love thursdays, there is nothing on the schedule. The book fair at school starts today, maybe we will go there after school to pick out some new books.

Day 47

The life of a gymnast

This is his rip after having just over a day to heal.  These happen all the time, you just hope they don't happen right before a meet or during a meet.  At States back in march he got a rip just about as big as this one during warm ups on the high bar and he still did fantastic and was first place on rings that day.  He was very proud of this rip because he said he didn't cry at all it just stung a little when the skin came off. His coaches say he is becoming a man, haha.

Day 46

Nothing to report today. A had a good practice yesterday but he got a big rip on his hand that will need some TLC for a couple days. In gymnastics lingo a rip is when is blister forms than rips open leaving the skin raw on the palm of your hand. Very common.
