Today is Aidan's pre-natal day (you know, the day before you were born). Tradition holds that you get a present on this day. Normally he waits until after school. This morning he asked for it as soon as he wakes up. He was thrilled to get his new golf club! Tomorrow is his big surprise! Picture might be a little late as I haven't decided how I'm gonna do this.
Aidan has finally outgrown some summer clothes! His t shirts always last longer because its the sleeve length on the long sleeve that gets them replaced sooner. So we went to target and he found two of his new favorites, a shirt that says "how may I annoy you today" and "property dept of genius". He is wearing his genius shirt today since he has a science quiz haha.
Aidan finally told me on Friday that he has no idea what he wants to do for his birthday and asked if i could just plan a surprise. Little does he know I planned the surprise back in the beginning of February...
Top o the mornin to ya! Nothing happening this weekend except lacrosse practice. I can't believe his birthday is in two weeks. Surprisingly he hasn't asked much about it, he just keeps giving me a list of items he wants. Little does he know I have a big surprise up my sleeves...
What a great weekend Aidan had! First he had his riding lesson on Saturday then he had a fun indoor lacrosse practice. On Sunday he had a lacrosse clinic held at the high school that was run by the high school coaches and players that he really enjoyed. Later in the day he decided he wanted to go to the driving range so off we went. It took him a few swings to get back in the swing of things but then he was right back to hitting the ball hard and straight. I took the opportunity to also get him one of his birthday presents a little early, new golf clubs! He was so excited! He has really out grown the old ones and they were a little small to start with.
Well lacrosse was cancelled on Saturday which was a good thing because Aidan got quite the scare at his riding lesson. Aidan did something to spook his horse that caused it to take off and Aidan fell off. He is ok, just a big bruise. His instructor also got him to get right back on which was great. Yesterday he finally had lacrosse and he had a lot of fun!
Yesterday Aidan came home from school with a field trip permission form from the gifted and talented program. He feels very special that he gets to go on a special field trip that everyone in his class doesn't get to go on.
