Day 152

It is supposed to rain all week so the lacrosse game that was rescheduled for tomorrow might be rained out again. Aidan is sad that the testing is done because that means back to homework. The school fair is Friday, we always look forward to this!

Day 151

Aidan was back on defense last night and played great. Today is the last day of state testing and the kids get to bring in a board game to celebrate. Aidan is excited because today's test is science and he loves science.

Day 149

Last night at his lacrosse game his coach had him play attack instead of defense and he played a great game! After the game they had their team pictures and I had several people come up to me and comment that it was the best they have ever seen him play. Aidan was super excited to play attack also, he has always thought he liked playing defense better.

There is the one father who has been trying to recruit Aidan to wrestle but Aidan just isn't interested. He was working on him again last night and he said to me that his body was built to wrestle and it's a crime that he isn't lol. Aidan said he would think about it, again.

Day 148

Aidan says that the first day of testing was easy and he is sure he got all the answers right.  Aidan missed gymnastics yesterday for lacrosse practice and his coach is pretty disappointed. I told him it was because he has two games this week.  I love seeing Aidan being able to interact with a team and play with his peers but for as long as he wants to continue competitive gymnastics it will be hard balancing both.  After his game tonight he has team pictures and they are just going to look terrible.  Some of the boys really sweat a lot and that does not make a good picture. Luckily Aidan's hair is nice a short so it shouldn't be too messed up and hopefully his clothes don't get filthy either.

Day 147

Aidan is very excited about this week because he will have no homework. This week is NJ ASK state testing. Other kids might be nervous about it but not Aidan. There are two lacrosse games this week.

Day 146

A lacrosse game that was rained out was reschedule for tomorrow and the weather is supposed to be nice all weekend.  Aidan found out yesterday at school that in a couple weeks he will be getting the puberty talk during health class.  Good luck to that teacher, every time I try and talk to him about he just falls over and screams.

Day 145

Aidan had a great lacrosse game last night!! He made a few awesome plays! The game was right next to a diner so we went there for dinner. A few other of his teammates went also so they sat together and had a great time. Aidan was excited that the diner we were at was featured on a food network show.

Day 144

The rain is supposed to stop at some point today but I don't know of he will still have a game. The field they are playing on is a turf field but I would think that when it is wet that it would be too slippery to play on. If lacrosse is cancelled then he will go to gymnastics so either way he has a sport today.

Day 143

Aidan had a great gymnastics practice last night, he did a new skill on the pommel horse. Lacrosse practice tonight with a game on Wednesday as long as it doesn't rain.

Day 142

Sorry about no words on Friday, as soon as I got to work there was an emergency. On Thursday there was a tornado watch for our town with it reported that one touched down. All the kids had to sit in the hallways and just thought it was a drill so they were not afraid at all.

Aidan had two lacrosse games this weekend and he played really well.
