Last Day of 5th Grade

I was hoping this day would never come, that perhaps the school would suddenly discover that the children were still missing much to school to actually finish and everyone would have to repeat their current grade next year. But, alas, that did not happen. So today is the last day of elementary school for Aidan.  I cannot believe that my little boy is going to middle school next year. I know he is excited about it and I know he will be fine. It has been quite the year with lots of excitement and changes.

Today is the 5th grade field day. All the 5th graders from all three elementary schools will be traveling to the middle school today for a year end celebration. This will be the first most of these kids will meet each other. Aidan knows a handful from sports. He is excited to be able to see those friends today. One more week of school left.

Aidan won his lacrosse game last night! Today he had a quick check up before school...he gained 2.5 pounds in a month! I am do excited!

We are finally in the home stretch. Only two weeks left of school. Aidan had a lacrosse festival on Saturday that he had a lot of fun at. On Friday his whole class got to go on a tour of the middle school. He came home from school so excited! He said he was a little nervous about going to middle school but not anymore.
