He had a great meet yesterday! Most all of his scores improved but he didn't place as well because his competition was pretty tough but Aidan is very happy with his performance!

Gymnastics Meet

day 86

Aidan had a great day yesterday! He made a pretty cool snowman and loved the huge pile of snow that just keeps getting bigger at the end of our driveway. Around 3:30 his coach called and asked if he was available for practice and Aidan was not happy about it but went and had a great practice anyway.

Snow day #4

Well so much for the 3-6 inches that was predicted, we have about a foot out there. Aidan is going to be very excited because it is finally a heavy snowball making snow.

The school has already called to announce an early dismissal for today due to the impending storm. They still are not sure what exactly is going to happen other than snow, rain, back to snow. I've heard anywhere from 3 inches to a foot. Gymnastics will probably be cancelled which is not a good thing since he has a meet this weekend.

Ugh what a day!! Grandma actually took this picture hours ago but I was too busy at work to send it and then I got out late. Aidan had some standardized testing today that he feels he did awesome on.

Day 83

According to weather.com it is currently -2 degrees outside. BRRRRRR.  There is storm coming on wednesday into thursday that looks like it might create snow day number 4 on thursday.  It will either bring a major ice storm or a foot of snow.

Day 82

After school we plan on getting a haircut. His hair is not that long he just hates when it's long enough he can feel it move.  They are calling for more snow tonight but it doesn't seem to be enough to have another snow day.  Next weekend there is another gymnastics meet which of course means another video. I hope everyone is enjoying the last one.

Just two pages of homework tonight then off to gymnastics.

We were running late today and then his bus showed up a few minutes early which caused us to run out the door to catch the bus which resulted in me landing flat on my back on the icy driveway. Needless to say, I didn't get a picture of him this morning, check back after school today!

Aidan got his math test back yesterday which of course he did awesome on! However, he did tell me that he didn't need to look at what he got wrong because it doesn't matter because he did awesome...UGH!

Aidan had a great snow day yesterday! He was so happy to finally be able to go sledding! He then had a great gymnastics practice. He has another meet in a couple of weeks.

Day 78

Aidan has been wanting grips for gymnastics and they arrived yesterday. They come with a learning curve and his coach says sometimes it can take up to a month to get used to them. I have a feeling it's going to take Aidan about that long.

Day 77

Aidan had a great meet yesterday and was still in a great mood today because of it!  He cannot wait until practice tonight to be able to talk to everyone about his scores!  We did end up going on saturday to watch the level 4 boys compete and Aidan served as assistant coach (his coach even paid him in chocolate!)  It was a long weekend because of it so not much was accomplished but oh well.

Gymnastics Meet

Aidan has his gymnastics meet today and he did fantastic!  The judge on the pommel horse is a notoriously hard judge and everyone's score was very low. The coaches were getting upset so he called them over and explained his scoring to them. At least he was being tough all around and not just picking on some boys.  Aidan was very nervous at the meet when we first got there because he was competing by himself for the first time.  His coach knows him very well and knew that he just needed a friend to talk to so he introduced him to another boy in his group rotation and it worked! They were cheering each other on the whole meet and he relaxed!

Day 76

Sorry about no words yesterday, I was having problems with the web site.

We are supposed to get more snow today, 3-4 inches it seems.  I just wish we would get enough to go sledding.

One of Aidan's new friends on his gymnastics team competes on saturday while Aidan competes on sunday.  He is sad to miss his friends first meet so he is deciding if he wants to go watch. As much as I don't want to, it is 45 minutes away and i'll have to pay my way in twice, I feel it's important for Aidan to want to support his team.  As much as gymnastics is an individual sport it is still a team.  The boys are in two different levels which is why they are not competing the same day or time.

Well Aidan needs a filling.  He is not the best brusher and never has been.  The dentist did say that the cavity is in a difficult place to brush. Two of his teeth flare out and the cavity is on a tooth that is being blocked by one of those flared teeth.  We go back in a month for the filling and will also have our follow up with the orthodontist.  One of his adult teeth on the bottom is coming up sideways and he might need to pull out one of his baby teeth to allow it to come up straight.

Day 73

Aidan told me he wore his new deodorant yesterday and that he loves smelling so "manish"! I, for the life of me, don't remember being so excited about deodorant. He has a dentist appointment today, hope he has been brushing better than last time.

Day 72

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I cannot believe it is 2011 already!  Aidan had a great christmas! Santa brought him everything he wanted.  He especially loved the money he got and the truffles from Grandma Shannon. This picture is him holding one of his favorite new toys, the nerf stampede gun.  This thing fires like crazy! This coming weekend Aidan has a gymnastics meet.  He has two during january, three in february, one in march, and hopefully one in april if he qualifies for it.
