Wrestling practice is held at the high school I went to. It's very weird being back in here.

Day 48

Aidan had a nice homework free break! He went to an optional extra wrestling practice on Friday and he had his riding lesson on Saturday. This week is just more of the same.

Day 47

Aidan so excited for tomorrow! I don't think he knows yet but the town is making thanksgiving break a homework free break! My parent teacher conference went great yesterday as expected. Aidan just needs to work on his confidence but all his academic stuff is excellent.

Day 46

Aidan is still loving wrestling! I really am surprised, I didn't think he would like it. Yesterday he got to impress the coaches when they were doing pull ups. They asked the boys to try and do 5. Most of the boys were struggling to do their first one when Aidan did not 5 but 6 easily. He told me he did six because he felt like it. In gymnastics he was used to doing 10. Tonight is my parent teacher conference which I know will go well. I just have a few questions about his report card and I will also get the results of a standardized test he took in the beginning of the school year.

Day 45

Sorry this is so late, his bus was early this morning. He has wrestling practice tonight and is excited. At his riding lesson Saturday he jumped his horse! He wasn't supposed to, luckily his horse knew what to do, he was trotting his horse when he jumped it instead of going around the jump. His instructor Jamie said that that is normally lesson 7 not 3 lol, but he did look good!

Day 44

Aidan got his report card yesterday, of course it was excellent! He had one A in math and everything else was a B. He was disappointed in the B's so I explained to him that B's are still fantastic and now he knows where he stands and where he can improve. Early dismissal today because parent teacher conferences start today, mine is next week.

Aidan liked wrestling last night and wants to continue so we will have to figure out a schedule for that.

Day 40

Hmmm I wonder why this didn't post before? Oh well. Aidan had a great weekend. He did another riding lesson on Saturday and did very well. My friend who we watched do her horse show that got him interested in riding came which excited him.

Horseback riding

As expected Aidan loved horseback riding! He picked everything up pretty fast and surprised the instructor by being ready to trot on the first lesson. The pony he was riding had a pretty rough trot so his next lesson, tomorrow, he will ride a different one. He wants to go once a week, so Saturday mornings will be our regular day. After his lesson Thursday we went and bought him riding boots, half chaps, and a riding helmet. He was so excited he wore the boots home. The pony didn't really take him seriously with his rubber soled shoes but Aidan was still able to get that stubborn thing going. Only once did Jamie (who is actually also the owner and a really nice man) have to go over and help him out. Today he was practicing putting the half chaps on by himself.

Day 39

Aidan doesn't have school Thursday or Friday. Tomorrow he is going to try out horseback riding, he is very excited!

Day 38

Aidan has a habit of leaving his dirty clothes on his bed. He also has a habit of leaving them there and then sleeping on top of them as illustrated by the jeans in this picture.

Day 37

Only three school days this week. It was a nice boring weekend also.

Day 36

Today is finally the costume parade at school and trick or treating! But of course I have to work today, first time ever I have had to miss these things :(

Aidan is very excited to get to finally wear his costume, he is going as a ghost buster.

Aidan also had his end of year party for soccer last night. The season unfortunately had to end early because there is still snow on the ground so they can't play soccer tomorrow. He got two trophies last night! One from the town and one from the coaches for being undefeated this year!

Day 35

Hooray Aidan finally has school today! There is a two hour delay and they has to move some bus stops but they have school! The high school only got back power late yesterday.
